Funeral Service Times ran a great piece on an award win by our production manager – it read:
When Steve Soult first thought of his new personalised coffin and casket range, little did his production manager, Martin Bingley know of the hard work and dedication that lay ahead. Two years later, Martin has been recognised for his commitment by receiving a certificate from the Guild of Master Craftsmen for ‘Outstanding Performance’.
The Artiste range of unique personalised coffins, ashes caskets and now the new Britannia caskets have constantly evolved using better techniques, equipment and feedback from funeral directors. Martin has led this change to make the range what it is today.
The Artiste engraved coffins and ashes caskets was a new territory for the Midlands-based manufacturer, and Martin continually improved the processes and designs so that all engravings and final colours met the uncompromising quality that’s become synonymous with Steve Soult Limited. Next in the range came the new Britannia, a crematable casket designed especially for the British funeral industry. This saw Martin totally redesigning the American style casket to become a user friendly product that sweeps away all previous limitations.
Martin said: ‘Perfecting the Artiste range has been a challenge I’ve relished for over two years. I was very happy when this was finalised and the Britannia casket was recently launched. However, I was even more pleased and surprised when Steve presented me the certificate on behalf of the Guild of Master Craftsmen for all the hard work I’ve done and my commitment to the project’.
Steve commented: ‘We’re all proud of Martin for the work he’s done in designing and constantly improving the Artiste range over a long period of time. We knew that by giving him the time and resources he needed, he would balance this new project with his regular daily duties and succeed. This certificate officially recognised the outstanding performance that he’s achieved’.
